Saturday morning the Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center came to life with the gathering of 42 fiddlers and their entourage of musicians and family to compete in the First Annual Fiddling Competition. Jim French sponsored the event after he applied and received a Grant from the Humboldt Area Foundation last year. The event was beautifully covered in photos by Phil Nelson in last week's issue.

The Trinity Players provided food for the competitors and the attendees from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. I worked concessions for most of the day, along with Ann Jordan, Trish Miller, Pat Treadwell , Marylnn Rubi, Nancy Kohl and others only breaking to go downtown to the Art cruise. Pat did a great job helping Jim set up the rooms and readying the concession area.
