Our Story
The Trinity Players Inc is a non-profit organization operated by our board of directors and it's members.
A little more than 60 years ago a courageous woman named Barbara Polka and three fellow thespians formed a theater troupe called the Trinity Players. Determined to provide residents of Trinity County an opportunity for personal growth as a member of community theater, as well as a chance to be entertained by your neighbors, the theater group persisted to exist. Performances were held in the Veteran's Hall, with poor lighting, a makeshift stage, and deplorable acoustics. Not to be deterred, the Trinity Players pushed on with Mrs. Polka at the helm and eventually, through grants, fundraising, and a township full of sweat equity, the troupe acquired the building at it's present day location.
What is the Trinity Alps Performing Art Center?
Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center owned and operated by the Trinity Players is a beautiful 11,000 square feet facility with fine acoustics, a permanent stage with lighting, a welcoming lobby including snack bar and plenty of parking. This theater, built by its own community, is now home to performances produced by the Trinity Players and to many other acts including live music, dance, comedy, magic, and more.
